Clean Water Initiative
One of the largest projects we have undertaken to date has been the installation of a community borehole.
For many local families, the only available water source was a nearby pond shared with livestock and other animals. The water was often unsafe, increasing the risk of waterborne diseases and affecting the health of both children and adults.
As our work in the community grew, we became increasingly aware of the need for a reliable source of clean water, not only for local families but also for the children attending Arc en Ciel Academy. We wanted to ensure that the children in our care had access to safe drinking water and a healthier environment in which to learn and thrive.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we invested more than €20,000 in drilling and installing a borehole that now provides clean water to both the school and the wider community.
The impact extends far beyond the provision of water itself. Improved access to clean water helps prevent disease, supports better health, reduces the burden of collecting water and contributes to a better quality of life for families throughout the area.
It is a lasting investment in the wellbeing of the community and a reminder that sometimes a single project can transform daily life for generations to come.
