Community Care & Development

While education and childcare remain our primary focus, we believe strong communities help children thrive. Through our Community Care & Development Programme, we respond to local needs as they arise, supporting vulnerable families and investing in projects that improve daily life within the wider community.

This flexible fund allows us to provide practical assistance where it is needed most. Over the years, we have supported emergency medical care, assisted families facing hardship, and responded to community crises. Following the tragic death of a local builder who worked with us, we helped his widow establish a small business, enabling her to provide for and educate her three children.

Our work is supported by a dedicated Welfare Officer and Social Worker who works closely within the local community. Through home visits, community relationships and referrals, she helps identify families and individuals facing challenges where we may be able to offer support.

Transforming Community Healthcare

We also work alongside international volunteers who bring skills, time and expertise to local projects. Most recently, volunteers from Norway refurbished the local maternity clinic, helping transform it into one of the best-equipped facilities in the area.

As our presence in the area has grown, so too has our relationship with the wider community. Through projects such as Arc en Ciel Academy and our ongoing community investment, we are helping create opportunities and improvements that extend well beyond the children directly enrolled in our programmes.
